Last week, Colorado’s legal community gathered at the historic Penrose House in Colorado Springs for the 2026 Colorado Pro Bono Summit. Hosted by COLTAF grantees the Colorado Access to Justice Commission and Colorado Lawyers Committee, the annual event brought together attorneys, judges, legal aid advocates, law students, and other access to justice leaders from across the state for a day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

COLTAF was proud to sponsor this year’s Summit and contribute to the collaborative efforts that made the event possible.

The program featured keynote addresses from former Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart and Colorado Court of Appeals Judge Timothy J. Schutz, along with panel discussions on topics including court-based pro bono programs, emerging technology, law firm engagement, ethics, and innovative approaches to serving more Coloradans in need. Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the state, exchange ideas, and reaffirm a shared commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to legal help when they need it.
